Trauma Therapy Program
The Trauma Therapy Program provides therapy to children and youth who have experienced trauma, as well as their immediate family members. This is a "fee-for-service" program. Funding is often available through sources such as the BC Crime Victim Assistance Program (we bill directly) and through extended health benefits.
Our Trauma Therapists use a variety of modalities (e.g., art, play and cognitive behavioural) found to be essential when working with children and youth who are healing from trauma.
Children, Youth and Families can self-refer by contacting our clinical counsellor or referrals can be made through the Ministry of Child and Family Development, Victim Services, Police, School Counselors, Family Doctors and other Professionals.
