Healing, Exploring, and Restoring Together Program

For children and youth, age 18 and under, who have experienced trauma other than sexual abuse. Services are also available to non-offending family members. This is a free service..

Our Clients
The (HEART) program provides counselling, education and support for children and youth, age 18 and under, who have experienced trauma other than sexual abuse. Services are also available to non-offending family members. This program offers free, confidential, counselling for children, youth and families living in the Langley and Aldergrove communities.

Modalities
Our counsellors use a variety of modalities that have been found to be essential when working with children and youth who are healing from sexual abuse/assualt or display sexualized behaviours.

Cost
The HEART program is a free, confidential service funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.

Referrals
Referrals are facilitated through the local Child and Youth Mental Health office in Langley. Their phone contact is 604-514-2711 ext. 116.

What to Expect
Whether we receive a referral from a professional or we receive a phone call from you, one of our Clinical Counselling staff will answer any questions that you may have during the initial phone call. Our staff make sure that this program is suitable for your needs; and, if needed, we refer to other agencies. During this call, our staff will book an intake appointment with you at our counselling office located at Unit 103 - 20230 64th Avenue, Langley.

At the intake appointment, one of our Clinical Counselling staff will sit down with you to go over some basic information that we require for our file and for our funders. We also go over our Consent to Services Form, Confidentiality Agreement and our Participant Handbook with you. You will then be placed on our waitlist until a space in the program becomes available. Your counsellor will then contact you to make an appointment to begin your sessions.
