LANGLEY, BC – Encompass Support Services Society is proud to announce the launch of Tiny Hands, Big Dreams, a $30,000 fundraising campaign running from November 19 to December 31, 2025. This initiative will directly benefit children ages six and under, along with their families, across Langley and Aldergrove.
For more than two decades, Encompass Support Services Society (Encompass) has been providing essential and enriching programs and services to families in the Langley community. Through its Child and Family Services, Encompass provides vital programs such as Best Babies of the Langleys, Pregnant and Parenting Youth, Parent Support Outreach, Family Place Resource Centre, Spanish Family Power, Spanish Family Time, Bright Beginnings Child Care Centre, Early Years Family Navigation, Community Kitchens, and Child and Family Groups, including Circle of Security. These services nurture healthy beginnings, strengthen family bonds, and foster resilience.
Each year, approximately 2,500 participants access Encompass programs for essential resources and connection. Donations from the Tiny Hands, Big Dreams campaign will help meet the growing demand, funding everything from prenatal vitamins and diapers to childminding, resource navigation, and opportunities for social connection. Every contribution ensures that families in Langley have access to the tools and community they need to thrive.
“This campaign is about more than fundraising – it’s about investing in the future of our youngest community members,” said Christine McCracken, Executive Director of Programs. “Together, we can ensure that Langley’s children and families are supported to grow strong and healthy.”
Donations can be made through Canada Helps on the Encompass website. Follow Encompass on social media as they celebrate their Child and Family Services and all of the important work that they do. (Facebook and Instagram: @EncompassSupportServices; Twitter: @ESSS_Langley)
The Tiny Hands, Big Dreams campaign coincides with Giving Tuesday and the holiday season – a time defined by generosity, compassion, and community spirit. Encompass invites individuals and businesses to join in making a lasting impact for Langley’s children and families.
Christine McCracken, Executive Director of Programs, Encompass Support Services Society -
“The ages between 0 to 6 is a crucial time for development, attachment, and future success. This is why our Child and Family Services are so important; we support families in creating the best outcomes for their children. Given how high the cost of living has been for the last few years, we are seeing a greater need for support from non-profits like Encompass.”
Alison Nicol, Senior Programs Manager, Encompass Support Services Society –
“Social connection is at the heart of our Child and Family Services. The journey from pregnancy to birth is a profound life transition for families, and, for many birthing parents, it can also be a very isolating time. We are also seeing a lot of newcomer families and families relocating to Langley and Aldergrove who are eager to build a community of support. It is amazing watching the friendships and sense of belonging that form with our participants that go beyond our programs.”
Best Babies Participant –
“I always looked forward to my meetings with my outreach worker, with whom I shared my journey, my milestones and my struggles. We always had empowering conversations that were safe, relieving and joyful.”
Spanish Family Programs Participant –
“When I came to Canada, I spent one whole year without talking to anyone except my husband. I felt alone and needed support. Everything changed when I joined Family Time, the first Encompass program I went to. From the first day, the facilitator gave us a warm welcome. My children started playing with other kids right away. I also met another mom, and we became great friends. Thanks to this beautiful program, her family is now like our family. We don’t feel alone in this new country anymore.”
