Who We Are

Encompass Support Services Society (ESSS) is a grassroots, non-profit agency that provides a wide range of enriching and essential programs and support services to the communities of Langley.

We offer a variety of free, accessible community programs and activities for all ages with a primary focus on children youth and families. Our life-changing programs and services include:  family mediation and reunification, youth homelessness, sexual abuse counselling, after school activity programs, pre- and postnatal support, parent-child drop-in groups, and parenting support groups.

Acknowledgment

Encompass’ offices and spaces, and the work that we do, are on the sacred, ancestral territories of the Coast Salish people, specifically the qʼʷa:n̓ƛʼən̓ (Kwantlen), q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), Máthekwi (Matsqui) and se’mya’me (Semiahmoo) First Nations, who are the traditional stewards and protectors of this land and its generous resources. These territories are now home to many diverse First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. Our work does not start and end with this land acknowledgement; it is one important action towards Reconciliation, honouring the land and Indigenous heritage, which dates back since time immemorial.

This land acknowledgement was developed with the members of the Indigenous Advisory Council; we thank them for their generosity and collaboration.
