Sexual Abuse Support Services
Sexual Abuse Support Services (SASS) is a confidential counselling program funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development. The SASS program provides professional counselling, education and support for children and youth, up to the age of 19, who have experienced sexual abuse and sexual assault. This program also offers counselling for children and youth under the age of 12 who exhibit sexualized behaviour. The SASS program provides free, confidential short and long term counselling for children, youth and families in the Langleys.
Our clinical counsellor provides a variety of modalities (e.g., art, play and cognitive behavioural) found to be essential when working with children and youth who are healing from sexual abuse or display sexualized behaviors.
Children and youth can self-refer by contacting our clinical counsellor or referrals can be made through the Ministry of Child and Family Development, Victim Services, police, school counselors, family doctors and other professionals.
